During an interview with a TV channel, Sreenivasan said he did not believe Dileep would do such a thing and that the case was forged. Sreenivasan also criticized Women in Cinema Collective (WCC).
Actress turned director Revathy criticized actor Sreenivasan over his comment favoring actor Dileep in the actress abduction case. Sreenivasan stated that fake case was charged against Dileep. As the statement triggered a controversy, Revathy opined that respected personalities like Sreenivasan should behave more responsibly.
“Sad that celebrities whom we respect for their work speak this way. Don’t Celebrities need to be more responsible when they speak? Don’t they need to be more responsible when they speak? Don’t they need to think about how such statement reflect on the next generation?,” Revathy tweeted.
Sreenivasan made the statement during an interview with a TV channel. Sreenivasan said he does not believe Dileep would do such a thing and that the case was fabricated. Moreover, Sreenivasan said the Dileep he knew would not spend one and a half paise, let alone one and a half crore for such a thing.
Sreenivasan also criticized Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), the association of women in Malayalam film industry during the interview. Sreenivasan said he does not understand the need for WCC or what they are doing.
