Monday, July 18, 2011: The Ernakulam Principal sessions Court has once again lashed out at the CBI in connection custodial death of Sampath, the prime accused in sensational Puthur Sheela murder case in Palakkad.While hearing on the bail plea of Sub Inspector Ramesh- the first accused in the custodial death case, Court ruled that the even though there were evidences against the top police officials the CBI had failed to arrest the accused.
There were two crucial eye witnesses which point out that Sampath was brytally tortured by the IG while he was in police custody. The Court also ruled that the CBI was showing double-standrads in the investigation proceedings.
