Saturday, July 16, 2011: The High Court expressed serious concern over the emerging presence of quotation gangs in the State. The court made this observation while considering the bail plea of DySP Santosh Nair and container Santosh, both accused in the case related to the murder attempt on VB Unnithan.Suggesting it is high time to put brakes on the quotation gangs in the state, the HC pointed out youth are being led to such gangs and quotation gangs are emerging like small shops even in rural areas.
The court dismissed the bail plea of both the accused.
