Friday, July 15, 2011: The State Television awards for the year 2009 were presented by Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy at a function held here on Thursday.
ACV bagged the Kerala State Television award, for the best documentary (biography) based on C. Kesavan’s life history (Former Chief Minister of Thiru Kochi), produced by Asst. Vice President & Head- ACV News Network, Rajesh G Pillai and directed by C. Abhayadev.
The documentary was chosen from ACV’s flagship program, Kerala’s Most Favourite Leader. The documentary received special appreciation from the jury consisting of R.V Ramani, Madhu Janardanan, R.Parvathi devi, N.K Balakrishna Menon and Dr. K.S Sreekumar, for the best research work and factual approach to the theme.
Sudhi Narayanan from Rosebowl also received the award for the best director of documentary (Lives Less ordinary) based on noted Malayalam poet A Ayyappan. Sudhi received a cash award of Rs 15,000 and a plaque.
