Tuesday, July 12, 2011: Protesting the alleged neglect shown towards Alappuzha in the budget, the hartal observed on Tuesday by the LDF in Alappuzha district was total.The hartal hit normal life in the district with vehicles, barring two-wheelers and a few four-wheelers, staying off the road and shops and commercial establishments downing their shutters.
