Charity club at Pattom Model School


The Government Model Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Pattom, has opened a charity club to encourage students to lend a helping hand to the needy. The club was inaugurated  last week by Dr K G C Nair, director, Chand Academy, Pattom, who donated Rs 10,000 towards this noble cause.



 The main aim of the club is to support students so as to attain maximum results. ‘’It will help our students in need and educate them about the needs of others. This club will take care of a student’s learning. When a difficulty is identified, the club will try to rectify it so that it is no longer an impediment to the child’s learning,’’ school principal Retnakumar said in a statement.


 For raising funds, a charity box will be kept in the office room, where a student can donate on the occasion of birthday/ celebration/ function at home. Every rupee donated will be used wisely and to the needy.  Bindu is the teacher co-ordinator of the Charity Club. Aswany of Class XII is the convener.
