No proof for sabotage in ice-cream case
KOZHIKODE: The special investigating team submitted a report at the Kozhikode First Class Judicial Magistrate Court stating that there is no proof to show that Minister P K Kunhalikutty had sabotaged the infamous ice cream parlour case.
The investigation was conducted after the minister’s co-brother K A Rauf revealed at a press meet that witnesses and judges were influenced by offering money to save the minister in the case. In the report summmited, the team said they are winding up the case for lack of evidence.
The team questioned almost 150 persons including Kunhalikutty, Justices K Narayana Kurup, K Thankappan, former advocate general M K Damodaran and former additional advocate general V K Beeran. Almost hundred documents had been examined. The high court also examined the case diary.
In the meanwhile, the court dismissed opposition leader V S Achuthanandan’s plea seeking a copy of the investigating report.
