Water cannons used against DYFI activists
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A minor scuffle broke out in the march staged by the DYFI activists to the office of the power regulatory commission demanding withdrawal of power tariff hike. The police stopped the activists by lifting aloft the barricades in front of the office. When the activists refused to disperse, the police used water cannons. The activists later squatted on the roads and protested.
In Nedumangad, the DYFI activists barged into the KSEB office voicing the same demand. The police arrested and removed them from the site.
