Trawling ban ends tonight

 Tuesday, July 31, 2012: The 47-day trawling ban imposed for monsoon season will end today. Around 5000 boats will set out for fishing in outer sea by midnight.


Workers at fishing harbours and fish-landing centres along Kerala’s shoreline are giving final touches to the boats in order to make them sea-worthy.


However, most of the fishermen have expressed their apprehension over whether the lack of monsoon rain will affect fishing.
