Karumalil Sukumaran passed away

KOLLAM:Congress leader and former municipal chairman Karumalil Sukumaran succumbed to ill health in Medicity, Quilon.  


He breathed his last today at 08.15 and the funeral is to be held at Mulankadakam crematorium.


Following the footprints of his father Karumalil Karunakaran who was a municipal councillor, Sukumaran had been a dynamic presence in the socio-political and cultural life of Quilon for over five decades.


It was during his time as municipal councillor for quarter of a century and municipal chairman for a decade that most of the development took place in the district.
