ADGP should not turn judiciary, says Kodiyeri

THRISSUR: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has come out with scathing criticism against Vigilance ADGP Sheikh Darvesh Sahib, who outrightly rejected inquiry officials’ report against Finance Minister K M Mani.

“ADGP should not assume judiciary’s role. Sheikh Darvesh Sahib has been trying to torpedo the case,” he alleged.
“It is the court which has to say whether the charge sheet in bar bribery case will stand before the court of law. The ADGP’s rejection of the report without filing a charge sheet in the court is a breach of law. The ADGP’s attempt has been to mollify Mani to get Kerala Congress’ support during Aruvikkara by-election,” he said.
