THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Anti-Corruption Front led by former chief whip P C George MLA has announced their candidate for the Aruvikkara bypolls. K Das, former headmaster of Chala Vocational higher Secondary will be the candidate. He has not contested any polls earlier. He was chosen as the candidate on the people’s referendum held in various panchayats of Aruvikkara.
Das said, “I am elated for having chosen me as the candidate of the front who is fighting against corruption. I hope the people of Aruvikkara will vote against corruption.”
The names of six persons were included in the list. The names of three including Das shortlisted at the meet convened on May 30 in Ernakulam. P C George will officially announce his name tomorrow.
The Anti-Corruption Front consists of parties like Kerala Congress Secular, SDPI, and the DHRM.
