THRISSUR: A video footage of singer Yesudas making a visit to a temple with the news that he has visited Guruvayur temple has gone viral over the past few days. The 6.33- minute video has had more than three lakh viewers and more than 12000 shares.
The video starts with Yesudas and his wife visiting certain temple and the devotional song “Sree partha sarathe pahimam…” being played in the background. His son, wife and a cheering crowd of people accompanying him can also be seen.
The video ends with the veteran singer lighting the lamp and spreading out plantain leaf for a ‘sadhya’. The last voiceover in the video , however, foils the prankish aim of the brain behind the act.
When contacted Devaswom board member Advocate A Suresan told Kerala Kaumudi that “everybody knows that Yesudas has not visited Guruvayur temple. We don’t want to talk further and stoke yet another controversy”.
