THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has given a tit-for-tat reply to KPCC president VM Sudheeran’s comparison of him to sacrificial goat by comparing him to a butcher and the UDF government to a meat shop.
“Oommen Chandy-led government, which is neck-deep in corruption can only be compared to a meat shop. Sudheeran is a butcher in that shop, he said.
He also didn’t spare Congress leader A K Anotny and said that he also had degraded himself to a “clown who lights lamp for corruption”.
“When we examine corruption, immoral activities, looting and price raise perpetrated by the Chandy government, we can compare the UDF government only to a meat shop. Here Chandy and his ministers are butchering Kerala’s people. Sudheeran sounds like a butcher and there is no point in criticising me without understanding his own faults,” he said.
“A K Antony who criticised me as a person who is not sincere in the fight against corruption is mocking at Kerala’s contemporary politics. The people of Kerala know my battle against issues beginning from Palmolein scam to Bar bribery scam. Antony, who is a self-proclaimed apostle of ideological politics, has degraded to the level of a clown who lights the lamp in front of the procession of corruption. Chandy’s filthy rule has converted the government into an Augean stable. The LDF’s mission in Aruvikkara now is to clean this shed and bring relief to the people,” he said.
