CBI questions P Jayarajan in Kathiroor Manoj murder case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI Tuesday questioned CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan in connection with the BJI activist Kathiroor Manoj murder case. He was questioned at the CBI headquarters in the capital city for four hours.

The allegation against Jayarajan is that he arranged a hideout for the accused in the case. He reached the CBI office along with advocate K Viswanath.

Talking to reporters after interrogation, he said that he has informed the CBI his stand in the case. I have given apt replies to all their questions.

Manoj was murdered on September 1 in 2014. A charge sheet was filed in the court on March 7 in 2015 naming 19 persons as accused. They were accused after questioning around 350 witnesses more than once by the special police team and the CBI.
