‘CISF jawan’s hand injured in firing’

KOZHIKODE: The initial inference is that CISF CI Seetharam Chaudhury’s hand got injured in the shooting that took place at Karipur airport on Wednesday night.

The finding is that the bullet from CI Seetharam Chaudhary’s gun pierced through his left hand and then through the late jawan S S Yadav’a jaw bone before piercing into his skull.

Chaudhary is under treatment in hospital with severe injuries. It has been confirmed that he has bullet injury in his left hand.
Meanwhile, it is concluded that Chaudhary didn’t deliberately opened fire and he accidently pulled the trigger when he took out his gun for self defence in the melee.

Meanwhile, fire force official Ajithkumar told the media that attack launched against him was the result of the rivalry between CISF and the fire force. “The CISF officials used to smuggle out many things from the airport  and they attacked me as I complained against this,” he said.

The statements of fire force personnel who have been hospitalised will be recorded and the decision to arrest them will be taken after doctor’s report is obtained.
