THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth identified as Lijin, who was absconding and suspected to be behind the death of film-serial actress Shilpa has been arrested. A team led by Thampanoor circle inspector Suresh Nair arrested him from Kattakada.
The body of Shilpa, who went to her friend’s house in Balaramapura on Saturday afternoon, was recovered from the Maruthur Ghat in Karamana River the same night. Her parents said that Shilpa’s friend informed them that she fought with them and left the place leaving her mobile there.
Her parents said that a dispute broke out between their daughter and her friends. Her parents had lodged a complaint to the DGP claiming the case to be a murder.
