Onam exams in schools after Onam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The Onam exams in State schools have been postponed to September. The exams will be held from September 7 to 15.

Today’s meeting chaired by the chief minister accepted the recommendations of State Education quality Assessment board to postpone the exam.

The board had clarified that conducting Onam exams before Onam would not be ideal as the distribution of textbooks were getting delayed.

It also expressed the anxiety that conducting exams before Onam in the present circumstances would draw more criticisms from several quarters.

Though the Education Minister has assured the Assembly that the printing will be over by July 20, KBPS, which is printing the textbooks, has doubts about it.
