THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy sought an explanation from ADGP Rishiraj Singh on the incident for not saluting Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. The notice has sought to detail the reason for not saluting the minister at the function. The notice was issued by the home department as per the directive of the chief minister.
The notice has asked him to convey if there are any reasons for not taking action against him. The action of Singh is not suitable for an official and it is the duty of police men to respect people’s representatives, the chief minister has made it clear in the notice.
The incident happened at the passing out parade at the police academy in Thrissur.
