NEYYATINKARA: The police Tuesday brought under control a pastor when he attacked a DySP while taking statement. The person taken into custody has been identified as T John of Kanyakumari. The incident happened at the DySP office in Neyyatinkara last night. He is the pastor of Shalom Church in Paliyode and stays in a house adjacent to it.
He was called to the DySP office following a complaint lodged by a widow of a scheduled tribe. He attacked DySP S Suresh after being provoked. He was soon brought under control by other policemen. A case has been registered against him.
