Kalamassery land grab: CBI’s charge sheet without accusing Salim Raj

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI Wednesday filed a charge sheet in the CJM Court in Ernakulam without accusing Salim Raj, former gunman of the chief minister, in the controversial Kalamassery land grab case.

Second accused and Salim Raj’s co-brother C H Abdul Majeed, other relatives Abdul Salim, Thrikkakara north village officer Sabu K S, village assistant Murad, clerk Geevarghese E C of Ernakulam collectorate and Krishnakumari are the six accused in the case.

The case is that Abdul Majeed and his brothers made some changes in the thandaper and usurped land of 25 crore from the hands of N A Sharifa. It has been alleged that the changes were made with the help of Salim Raj’s wife, an official of the office of land revenue commissioner.

Though the single bench ordered to collect the phone details of Salim Raj, the government approached the high court and bought a stay on the order.
