Eyewitness says a swift car followed Balabhaskar’s car

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Another witness said the car was driven by violent Balabhaskar at the time of the accident. Aji, a KSRTC driver came forward with a new revelation. He said that when he reached for rescue operations, Balabhaskar was found on the driver’s seat. A white swift car was seen along with the violinist’s car. Both the cars overtook his bus at Attingal. However, soon after the accident the second car was not seen.

Aji said that he reached Attingal at 3.40 am. The Innova car and a white car overtook his bus there. Both the cars were in front of the bus in the rest of the journey. At the turning soon after the signal at Pallippuram, I saw the bus losing control. Later I saw the car careening off the carriageway and ramming a tree on the right side of the road at Pallippuram. I soon stopped the bus and ran near to the car which met with the accident. A person on the driver’s seat asked me to open the door on the left side.

The person sitting on the left seat sustained serious injuries. He was soon rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Balabhaskar was taken and made to sit on the road. He was not in a condition to speak.

Meantime, Nandu, another witnessed rejected Aji’s statements. The two were in the spot soon after the accident. Some of the things mentioned by them are the same, but there is confusion on the dress worn by those involved in the accident. Aji first said the person on the driver’s seat was seen wearing a jeans and T Shirt.
