Tuesday, September 6, 2011: Director General of National Museum and
expert committee chairman CV Ananda Bose today informed that the second
phase of evaluation of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple treasure valued
upto Rs one lakh crore, would begin soon.
The joint meeting of the monitoring committee and expert committee
officials have appointed an agency for scientific evaluation of the
temple riches that was unearthed from the secret chambers during the
inventory process.
The decision on opening vault ‘B’ would be taken only after the
completion of evaluation process of the valuables recovered from the
remaining vaults, expert panel said. Most modern instruments would be
utilized for the scientific evaluation.
