Rs 269 crores central aid for Kerala to modernize power sector
NEW DELHI: The centre granted more aid to modernize the power sector of the state. Union Minister of State for Power K C Venugopal said the state will not get Rs 1376 cores as aid from the centre.
Power bills will be made online, connecting the offices of KSEB etc have been included among the things to be modernized.
Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode districts have been mainly included in the project.
An additional 179 crores have been granted from the 90 crores permitted earlier for the capital city. So, now the capital city will get Rs 269 crores.
