Actor junior Jayan held in cheating case

KANNUR: The police Thursday arrested Adityan alias junior Jayan, nephew of yesteryear actor Jayan, for taking away cash and gold from a girl, native of Kannur, after getting engaged to her.  

The actor got engaged to this girl in 2007 at Guruvayur. As the girl was a minor, they decided to conduct the marriage later. In the meantime, the actor borrowed an amount of Rs 1.5 lakhs from the girl for his mother’s operation. She gave the amount via bank and later he borrowed some ornaments also.  

In 2009, he married another woman and the girl who came to know that she was cheated asked him to return the cash and gold. She later lodged a complaint along with the engagement photos. He has acted in almost six films and many serials.
