THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is no agenda to topple the UDF government through an immoral way, said CPI state secretary Panniyan Raveendran.
Meantime, the chief minister has no right to continue in the post, he said. Panniyan changed his stand after holding talks with CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan Tuesday.
The UDF government has a majority and will not topple them in an uncivilized manner. The LDF has not thought of toppling the government but will react at the right time, he said.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is the first accused in the solar scam case. He is not deserved for the post. Agitations against the chief minister would be strengthened in the coming days, he said.
Panniyan said, “We want the chief minister to resign. Let the UDF decide and choose somebody to replace him. The LDF will not opine on that. There is no feeling of untouchability towards Mani.”
Panniyan refused to opine when asked about the change of stand of the CPM and CPI. The stand of the CPI and the CPM are the same as we are united.
