No judicial probe, no resignation in solar case, says Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The present investigation in the solar case is progressing well and the government will not take any steps to disrupt that investigation, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

Talking to reporters after the weekly cabinet meet, Chandy said that he will not cling to the post using any method. I will not show injustice to truth and if I resign now that will be the biggest injustice from my side and I want truth to win. But the opposition is hatching a political conspiracy avoiding truth completely and I will not kneel before that.

Chandy said the opposition is against the CBI probe as they have no complaints on the investigation in the solar case. The government has not thought of leaving the case to the CBI but we have to inform our opinion to the court.

The opposition should permit to complete the present investigation and if anybody has any complaints can raise it. The government will hear it and take necessary steps if needed, he said.

Chandy said there is no change from what he said 10 days before in the solar case. The government has nothing to hide. Public sector organisations like ANERT and C-DIT installed the solar panel in my house and residence. It was installed after following the procedures recommended by experts.

The webcam installed in my office in 2009 is not able to record pictures. Only a week’s pictures will be in the CCTV and after that it will automatically be deleted.
