NSS, KC (M) affirm ties

KOTTAYAM: Finance Minister K M Mani has received an assurance from the Nair Service Society (NSS) leadership that the organisation’s differences with the United Democratic Front will not affect its long-standing relationship with the Kerala Congress (M). Mani got this assurance when he called on NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair at Perunna on Sunday evening. After the hour-long meeting, the second in quick succession, Mani, accompanied by party general secretary Joseph M Puthussery, arrived at the NSS headquarters by 6 pm. Later, speaking to presspersons, the leaders said they had discussed the political situation. Mani said the meeting was aimed at fortifying the warm relations the party had with the NSS.
