“Change style, or else would leave”: League warns Congress

KOCHI: Industries Minister and leader of Indian Union Muslim League, P.K. Kunhalikutty on Friday warned Congress in Kerala that if it does not change the style of rule, Muslim League is ready to leave the governance.

Kunhalikutty said this in an interview to a private television channel. He said governance is not a vital factor to League. Muslim League can exist alone with its organizational strength.

He said League provides full support to Oommen Chandy as he is a good Chief Minister. But it is the Congress to decide on who to lead. League’s style is to stand by that decision. Problems will not end if Chandy and KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala hug each other.

Kunhalikutty also said that if Congress High Command does not interfere and solves the current problems in Kerala, a “disaster” will be the result. It is high time that High Command interfered in Kerala issues, he added.
