I didn’t go for Shalu Menon’s house warming function: Thiruvanchoor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: I went to actress Shalu Menon’s house but it was not for the house warming function, said Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. I got down there when my activists stopped me while I was coming back after attending a function at the Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt. I know Shalu’s grandfather Tripunithura Aravindakshan personally. I don’t have any links with the actress, he said.

Thiruvanchoor said, “As a minister I usually go for house warming functions and marriages. I cannot go after investigating whether they are an accused or not. I was at Shalu’s house only for two minutes. I don’t have any blood or other relation with her. I met many CPM and BJP leaders there but refused to name them.”

Nobody can be arrested as per one’s interests as said by Chief Whip P C George. The investigating team has to take decisions in connection with interrogation and arrests. The government will not intervene in the functioning of the investigating team. The team can question anybody if they have solid evidence against them.

The court has to decide whether changes have been made in the complaint lodged by Sreedharan Nair in the solar panel fraud case.
