KOCHI: The Kerala High Court strictly directed the police to register the statement of Saritha S Nair, accused in the solar case, today (Wednesday) itself.
Justice S S Sathish Chandran also said Saritha should be given a chance to meet her counsel. The court asked to inform the steps taken in the wake of court direction when the case will be considered again at 1.45 pm.
The accused has the right to give a written complaint and it is the duty of the police to give a chance for that, the court said. The court directed the jail superintendent to produce Saritha immediately at the Moovattupuzha Court and register her statement.
Meantime, director general of prosecution T Asifali informed the court that they don’t need her custody again.
Meanwhile, ADGP Hemachandran leading the investigation in the case met director general of prosecution T Asifali and held talks. Asifali also called on Justice S S Sathish Chandran considering the case.
