NEW DELHI: Kerala Congress (M) leader and Finance Minister K.M. Mani met Congress President Sonia Gandhi here on Monday and expressed his dissatisfaction with the present condition of the state government.
Mani is learnt to have discussed with Sonia the present crisis being faced by the UDF government in Kerala, including the latest solar panel case.
Mani said in a press conference after the discussion that he had informed Sonia that the present condition of the UDF government is not favourable for a thumping win in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He also told that the reputation and the functioning of the state government should be made better.
If the UDF government has to win majority in the elections, it has to take the constituent parties into confidence and go ahead by accepting them. Mani also said he would demand more seats for his party in the Lok Sabha elections. He added that his party would not continue in the Front by tolerating insults.
