THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The talks between the Congress and the Muslim League scheduled to convene tomorrow has been postponed following the statement of KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala.
The new date for the talks has not been decided. The meet was postponed after E T Mohammed Basheer, executive member of the high powered panel of League, said the talks will be of no importance.
The League was forced to take this harsh step as none of the top leaders of the Congress tried to talk to them about it. Chennithala made a U turn soon after his statement. It is heard that the League may not attend the next cabinet meet.
The League is convening an emergency secretariat meet on Thursday in Kozhikode to discuss the issue.
