THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The center should be willing to reveal the criteria and situation for the increase in the price of petroleum products, said opposition leader V S Achuthanandan in a release.
The price of petrol and diesel were increased by Rs 5.26 paise and Rs 2.88 paise respectively in the last one month. At a time whena sharp decline is witnessed in the price of crude oil in the international market, the price of petroleum products in India is being increased. Kummanam Rajashekaran and the BJP owe an explanation to the state, he said.
Has Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who dropped the extra tax revenue getting when the price of petroleum products are increased, anything to say now. Ordinary men depending on scooters and bikes, will express their response in the upcoming assembly polls, he said.
