THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unconfirmed reports said T N Prathapan MLA, who earlier announced that he is not in the fray for the assembly polls, had sent a letter to the high command for the Kaipamangalam seat. The letter sent was discussed at the election panel meet convened the other day. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi mentioned about the letter at the meeting. Following that, Rahul permitted the state leadership to give him a seat.
The report said the high command called Kodungalloor MLA Prathapan immediately to Delhi and offered him a seat.
KPCC chief V M Sudheeran and opposition leader V S Achuthanandan welcomed his decision.
Meantime, Prathapan denied sending a letter to the high command and said all these are the campaign of political opponents.
