Three killed in accident

MALAPPURAM: Three people, who were standing on a road side, were killed and another person injured seriously after they were run over by a speeding truck at Valancherry in Malappuram.

Police said the dead were identified as Fazil (18), Mohammed Naushad (23) and Remsiq (26) of Valancherry in the district.

The victims, returning on motor bikes after a night cricket tournament and standing on the road side, were run over by the lorry which apparently lost control.

The injured was admitted to Maulana Hospital Perinthalmanna, they added.
