DCA not mandatory for secretariat assistant exam

Monday, July 30, 2012: PSC has cancelled its earlier decision of making DCA ( Diploma in Computer Application) as a mandatory qualification for secretariat examination.


The change of decision was due to governmental intervention. The fixing of DCA as the mandatory additional qualification has sparked a lot of controversy.


The notification of the examination is to come on the 31st of this month and the examination shall be conducted within a couple of months. The impossibility of doing a diploma course within such a short span of time had made the government to ask PSC to cancel the clause for the time being.


Though the first attempt was in vain, PSC has accepted the government’s opinion now.
