Govt playing hide and seek in Kochi Metro, says VS

ALUVA: The government is playing hide and seek on Kochi Metro issue, said opposition leader V S Achuthanandan. Officials including Kochi Metro M D Jose want commission but E Sreedharan is not like that, VS said.


VS said, “During the tenure of the previous government, money was granted for the project after taking into confidence Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Sreedharan. But after the UDF came into power, Tom Jose was given the charge. Sreedharan had earlier stated that he would cooperate with the Kochi Metro only if DMRC is there. Even though Chandy is saying that Sreedharan is in charge of the project, uncertainty still exists.
