IUML drops one state general secretary post

Sunday, July 1, 2012: ET Mohammed Basheer has been shifted from the post of Muslim League state general secretary. KPA Majeed will be the lone general secretary of League.


The decision was taken at the League state council meet convened here to select the new state members. Mohammed Basheer has been included in the party’s five-member high level panel.


Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal will continue as the state president of the party. Five secretaries including former Rajya Sabha member PV Abdul Wahab have been chosen. PKK Bava will be the treasurer.


KPA Majeed and ET Mohammed Basheer were appointed general secretaries after Minister PK Kunhalikutty vacated the post. Both were made general secretaries after a dispute occurred on the post.
