Leopard caught by villagers dies
PATHANAMTHITTA: A leopard chased and caught by villagers died after it was brought to the forest office at nearby Konni on Saturday, forest officials said.
They said the leopard was spotted in the morning in the compound of a school at Iravon, near Konni.
The frightened villagers first tried to scare it away by bursting crackers but this only irritated the animal, which ran helter and skelter.
