Rauf demands CBI probe into ice-cream case

Saturday, July 7, 2012: KA Rauf on Saturday demanded CBI probe into the ice-cream parlour case.

Speaking to the mediapersons in Kozhikode, Rauf alleged that DGP Jacob Punnoose was behind the inquiry report on ice cream parlour sex racket case that favours industries minister P.K. Kunhalikkutty.

Rauf said while the probe into the ice cream case was satisfactory, he could not say what happened when it became a report. “The victims in the case were given money and it is not Rs 40 to 50 lakh as reported. They were given Rs 1 crore,”he alleged. The truth behind this can be unearthed if the source of money is traced.

Stating that he stands by his earlier allegation that High Court judges were paid bribes to scuttle the verdicts in the case, Rauf demanded lie detection tests on himself and Sunny, son-in-law of Justice Narayana Kurup who accepted money from him.

Rauf had alleged that Justice K. Narayana Kurup and Justice Thankappan received payments through him for securing favourable verdicts.
