Sudhakaran case: Opposition walks out of Assembly

Thursday,July 06, 2012: CPI-M led LDF opposition members staged a walkout from the Kerala Assembly on Monday after their adjournment motion on not booking a case against K Sudhakaran despite Prashant Babu’s revelations was disallowed by Speaker G Karthikeyan.


Deputy opposition leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan issued a notice for an adjournment motion. Kodiyeri demanded that Prashanth Babu’s revelations should be taken as an approver’s statement


In reply to the adjournment motion, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said that the government is ready to conduct probe on the revelations against K Sudhakaran MP by the district IG.


He said that Prashanth Babu’s statement cannot be taken as an approver’s statement and his revelations are different from other versions.
