KOZHIKODE: A Magistrate Court here Tuesday extended police custody of a CPI (M) leader and suspected mastermind behind the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan.Vatakara First Class Judicial Magistrate M Suhaib sent CPI (M) Panur Area Committee Member P K Kunhanandan to police custody for four more days for further interrogation in the case.
Kunhananadan, who evaded arrest, was sent to police custody for 10 days following his surrender before the CJM Court on June 23. Rebel CPI (M) Leader Chadrasekharan was lynched by unidentified assailants at Vallikkode near Vatakara in the district on May 4.
