Monday, October 17, 2011: State Health Minister Adoor Prakash today
informed the Assembly that the state government was planning to
implement a law to curb the operations and activities of private medical
laboratories in the state.
Minister was responding to a question raised by Abdul Samad Samadani
during the Question hour session on Monday. Some of the private medical
labs were functioning without proper registration and this has been
brought to the notice of the government, he added.
Minister said there is nothing to ensure that they use quality equipment and employ qualified technicians.
