In a major breakthrough in busting the activities of antisocial
elements who indulged in unnatural sexual offences, the Narakkal police
have nabbed five accused, including two juveniles. The three accused are
Chelsy of Valappu, Nikhil of Moolambilly, and Sumith of Murikkumpadam.
Two juveniles were produced before the juvenile court.
The police are in search of six more in this connection. They are Sonu, Jyothish, Vishnu, Manu, Pramish and Feby. The victims are minor boys. The accused are suspected to be gangsters of the drug mafia.According to SI P R Sunu, police got clue about the offences. But the parents were reluctant to lodge any complaint for fear of the gangsters. A victim was one among those who had lodged complaints with the police. The boys were used for unnatural sexual offences since 2007, the parents told the police.At least three boys were exploited by the gangsters who threatened their parents, the initial investigation revealed.Police acted quickly registering three cases of unnatural sexual offence under IPC 377 and IPC 34, said Aluva DySP R Salim.Two juvenile accused were produced before the juvenile court two weeks ago. Police nabbed three accused on Thursday. Police led by SI P R Sunu raided the possible hideouts of the accused.
