THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that the ‘black oil case’ in which KSU workers are accused will not be withdrawn. “The government had thought of withdrawing the case with a good intention. The decision was taken after taking into consideration the future of the students. But now, since the issue has become a controversy, the government has no qualms in retaining the case,” said the chief minister at a press conference.
The chief minister added that decision to withdraw the case was also influenced by a request from the parents of the accused to end the case, and there was no external pressure of any kind in this regard.
