RSP (B) demands CBI probe into bar bribery case
ALAPPUZHA: Revolutionary Socialist Party (Bolshevik) leader A V Thamarakshan has demanded the resignation of Finance Minister K M Mani and a CBI probe into the bar bribery case. Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Thamarakshan said an investigation by the CBI was necessitated “as the ongoing probe did not appear to bring out the actual facts” in the issue. He also alleged that other Ministers were involved in accepting bribes from bar owners. Thamarakshan, who heads a constituent party of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), added that he had petitioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi to constitute a special investigation team to probe the alleged benami accounts held by several politicians in the State in the Middle East.
