Tipper lorry turns killer vehicle again; Two die

ULLOOR: A tipper lorry that sped off from quarry with a full load of rock sand snuffed out two lives on Thursday. One Biju kumar (35) from Poozhanadu and Levin Lal (38) from Ottasekharamangalam died in the accident. 

The incident happened at around 6 am at Choozhattukotta along Pappanamkode-Malayinkeezhu road. Tipper lorry knocked off the bike at a sharp curve, lost its balance and rammed into a scooter workshop nearby.  Bijukumar died at the spot. Though Levinlal was admitted in Medical College hospital, he died at Surgical ICU at around 8:30 am. Their bodies have been shifted to mortuary for post-mortem.

Biju Kumar, an ex-military, was a security guard in Attukal Devi Temple. Levinlal was a chef in Vismaya hotel.
