Putting a lid on gossips, famous South Indian actress Trisha has declared that she is going to get engaged. Chennai-based film producer Varun Maniyan is her fiancé. The actress put up a post on the facebook, saying that her engagement will take place in the presence of close relatives and friends on January 23.

Trisha, by the way, has requested her fans not to spread rumours about the marriage date, as it is yet to be decided.   

There were reports that Trisha and Varun were in love and their engagement ceremony had already taken place.
Trisha said she would continue acting though her engagement is fixed. In the current year, she would sign two new projects.  
Varun is the managing director of Radiance Realty developers India Limited and Radiance Group, a film production company, which had produced Vaimoodi Pesuvathum and Kaviya Thalaivan. The company is also producing Selvaraghavan with Trisha and Chimbu in the lead roles.
