Father, son die in scooter-van collision

MANGALAPURAM:  A van carrying Ayyappa devotees collided with a scooter, killing a father and son, who were riding the scooter. The victims hailed from Adoor Adukkam in Kasargod Delampadi Panchyat. They have been identified as Abdurahman (50) and son Siddique (18). 

The accident happened Thursday morning at around 7:30 at Gwalimukh which lies under Karnataka Samthiya police station limits. Though the victims were rushed to hospital soon after the accident, they succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. The witnesses of the accident said that the over-speeding van has caused the accident. The bodies of the accident victims have been shifted to Kasargod General hospital.
